penners

I was convinced that the girl in the photo on the rollercoaster wouldn't be alice, mainly because her head was turned so you couldn't full make out her face. but it's all coming together now. im guessing the body in the shed must've been lena gerber and that gettrick must've switched dna samples in the hospital somehow. how the hell did sophie manage to get alice out of the country though??

Re: The Missing
both the series of the missing have been fantastic i think.

i guessed the last bit from last night would happen, but only along with loads of other theories I got completely wrong!

Re: The Missing
I might be getting cynical in my old age but I think I'm beginning to suffer from "taught, psychological thriller where nothing is what it seems" fatigue.

I've invested a lot of hours in Paranoid, The Five, The Missing etc over the last few months and my tolerance to big sweeping shots of the sky, scenes of men weeping on toilet seats and middle-aged women staring out of windows for 20 minutes is starting to diminish.

I know good dramas have to have plots and characters that should be allowed to breathe and develop , but let's face it, it's taking the piss now.

STARTING NEXT THURSDAY ON BBC1

'SMOKING GUN'

Ross Kemp / Andrew Lincoln / Robson Green etc, plays ex-Special Forces commando Tony Steel, discharged from service for in Afghanistan for a crime that he possibly didn't commit, while struggling to come to terms with the death of his teenage daughter, killed in a similar way five years previous. Both tragedies are unconnected...or are they? etc etc

OK. Probably a good idea for you to steer well away from any Marvel films, wink wink.

What do you want from a TV program? It's hardly a huge hollywood blockbuster.

Yeah, but you can only take the suspension thing so far.

it's not a documentary, and clearly it was planned to get gemma into that position. suspension of disbelief, old boy!

Re: The Missing
How many times has that scenario been done where someone needs to find out confidential information, and they somehow get left alone in an office with access to it ?

was that the same soldier who spoke to them both in iraq or wherever they went looking for daniel reed?

franks

henry reed was involved in whatever happened to the young iraqi girl in 1991, along with brigadier stone and a third person, the retired female soldier married to the butcher.

Re: The Missing
i think there was a big clue when the military police woman was having her (surrogate) baby...... her old man (the crazy brigadier) was starting to talk about her birth and then stopped.

i reckon the old perve had her by a different woman he kidknapped.

I was thinking the Governer had another kid once.

Have we seen the "remaining Alice"'s wrist yet?

Lost track of it tbh but still very good TV.

Wonder what the score is with the bald geezer the French one keeps hallucinating about? More than just a red herring I reckon.

Re: The Missing
daveyg

I don't recall him looking different, but the theme throughout the show has to have the characters look different to differentiate the different timelines, ie Gemma's hair is long/med/shorter epending what year.
